A family law issue, be it divorce, child custody, visitation, property division, or support issue, is one of the most likely reasons a person will find himself or herself involved in litigation and in need of a skilled attorney. It is vital that your family law attorney understands and appreciates how important your family and financial security are to you and that your attorney will work with you to achieve a resolution that is fair, prompt, and as peaceful as possible. If this sounds like the kind of attorney you are interested in retaining, I look forward to hearing from you.
My primary area of practice is family law, although I also practice in the areas of probate, wills, and corporate formation. I joined Baxter Gibbs Robison & Henderson, PLLC (formerly Gibbs Nolte Robison Rose PLLC), as a partner in June 2000 after spending three years practicing family law and general civil litigation as an associate with the Plano, Texas office of Siebman, Reynolds & Burg, P.C. Prior to my association with Siebman, Reynolds & Burg, I maintained a solo practice of family and civil law litigation in Dallas, Texas for 6 years. In addition to my private law practice, I have served as the presiding Municipal Judge for Wylie, Texas since January 2001.
I was born in Amarillo, Texas in 1966. After graduating from Texas Christian University (B .A. - political science, 1988) I received my law degree from the University of Houston Law School (J.D., 1991) and was licensed to practice law in 1991. Currently, I am a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and the family law section of the Collin County Bar Association. I am a charter life fellow of the Collin County Bench Bar Foundation and serve as the Vice Chairman of the Community Lifeline Center, a non-profit community outreach organization in McKinney, Texas . I have previously served on the board of directors of the American Red Cross of North Texas, the Collin County Planning Board, the McKinney Housing Finance Corporation, and the McKinney Board of Adjustment.
