Family Law, Collaborative Law, Wills and Probate
A family law issue such as divorce, child custody and visitation, property division, or child support is one of the most likely reasons a person will become involved in litigation. These issues can have a serious and long-lasting impact on your emotional and financial well-being, so it vital that you retain an experienced family law attorney who understands the law and appreciates how important your family and financial security are to you.
Family Law Attorney
You need a family law attorney who is committed to working with you to achieve a resolution that is fair, prompt, and tailored to the specific needs of you and your family. In order that the process to be as peaceful and cost-effective as possible, every attempt is made to achieve a resolution for you in collaboration with the other party. There are however some cases that cannot be resolved by agreement and if yours is one of those cases, I have over 20 years of trial experience that I am ready to put to work for you in the courtroom. If this sounds like the kind of attorney you are interested in retaining, I look forward to hearing from you.
Education and Community Involvement
I was born in Amarillo, Texas in 1966. After graduating from Texas Christian University (B.A. – Political Science, 1988) I received my law degree from the University of Houston Law School (J.D., 1991) and was licensed to practice law in 1991. I am very proud to be a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, which extends membership to less than 1% of the lawyers in Texas each year. I am a Master and Founding Member of the Curt B. Henderson chapter of the American Inns of Court, a charter life fellow of the Collin County Bench Bar Foundation, and the Community in Schools liaison for St. Andrews Episcopal Church in McKinney, Texas. I formerly served as chairperson of the Builders of Justice Progressive Dinner benefitting Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and have served on the board of directors for Community Lifeline Center, American Red Cross of North Texas, Collin County Bar Association, Collin County Planning Board, McKinney Housing Finance Corporation, and McKinney Board of Adjustment.
