Founding partner Gregg Gibbs brings 32 years of legal experience and expertise to every case he handles.
A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Police Sciences, Gibbs joined the Air Force prior to graduation. Married in 1984, Gibbs joined the Plano Police Department where he served his community for 13 years in the patrol division and later as a detective, before earning his Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University.
Gibbs began his career as an attorney at the law firm of George Parker and Associates before forming Baxter, Gibbs and Robison in 1999 with now sitting Judge Lance Baxter. The firm, now known as Gibbs, Nolte, Robison, Rose, PLLC, has grown to include six attorneys in addition to a vast administrative staff. All bring a level of skill to the firm that helps hundreds of clients each year.
Criminal Defense Attorney
As a former police officer, Gibbs’ police experience makes him a highly effective criminal defense attorney. He has successfully represented clients in all areas of criminal law from traffic violations to capital murder. Frequently appointed on a range of matters before the courts, Gibbs is an asset to the courts and judges.
Gibbs’ family law cases range from simple and complex divorces, Child Protective Service cases, child custody issues, enforcement actions and modifications. Again, Gibbs is sought after by judges for appointment and consultation on difficult matters.
Probate and related matters including preparation of simple wills, guardianships are also areas included in Mr. Gibbs’ practice.
A member of the State Bar of Texas since 1997, Gibbs is also a member of the College of the State Bar, the Collin County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Family Section of the State Bar of Texas. In addition, Gibbs shares his vast experience and knowledge as a speaker at training seminars whenever asked.
Gibbs was born and raised in north Texas, in addition to spending some years overseas with his father’s career. He makes his home here with his wife Leticia, their three grown children and two grandchildren.
